Mt. Quandary

This past weekend, we ventured out before the sunrise to climb Mt. Quandary, a fourteener south of Breckenridge, Colorado.

One of my goals of my 101 in 1001 list is to climb 10 fourteeners and now I can at least cross one off!

It was a truly wonderful day, we made it to the summit by 9 am, and were off the mountain by noon! Because of the gorgeous weather, the trail was packed!

Please ignore my spelling mistake on this sign. (Quandry should be Quandary) It was a little early (3 am) when I made this sign!

Even the Mountain Goats came out to play!

Despite some of the more difficult aspects (a false summit, rock scrambling) I could not have asked for a better day! It was wonderful to spend time with friends and family and stand on top of the world at 14,265′!
